XPLOSION FALL AT EAST KENTUCKY, 112-98

 
PIKEVILLE, KY (November 18, 2007) - The Pittsburgh Xplosion fell to East Kentucky Sunday afternoon, 112-98. The Miners (1-1) jumped out to a 9-0 lead and held the visiting Xplosion (1-1) scoreless until the 8:55 mark of the opening quarter. The Xplosion never led in the contest, but managed to score two quarter points with a third quarter win and a split of the second and fourth quarters.

The difference was the first quarter, where East Kentucky doubled Pittsburgh 36-18. The Miners took a comfortable 62-44 lead into halftime.

Shawn Fountain and John DeGroat each had 19 points for Pittsburgh. Five different members of the Xplosion reached double figures in the scoring column. Antonio Graves netted 18 points and Odell Bradley added 15.

Josh Pace led East Kentucky with a game-high 22 points
